The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent RT Eric Winston, formerly of the Houston Texans.

Winston is considered by many to be the best RT in the NFL, and he has been a big part of Houston’s dynamic running attack.

A free agency period that started off rather slowly is now beginning to look pretty good for the Chiefs. The team lost Brandon Carr, Kyle Orton and Le’ron McClain, but added Peyton Hillis, Stanford Routt, Kevin Boss and now Winston.

The Chiefs still have depth issues along their offensive line, particularly at tackle, but the team will now have a nice mix of veterans and youngsters up front as they head into the 2012 season.
