The Kansas City Chiefs are beginning to develop a reputation for life-saving heroics.

Just months after TE Leonard Pope saved a child from drowning at a pool party, QB Matt Cassel and his wife helped alert a neighbor that her house was on fire.

Cassel’s wife noticed fire and smoke coming from a neighbor’s chimney from their home in the Village of Loch Lloyd. Mrs. Cassel told her husband who ran to the neighbor’s house. The Chiefs QB rang the doorbell and pounded on the door and circled the house until the women inside came out to see what the commotion was.

She did not know her house was on fire.

The fire department is currently investigating the start of the blaze.
