Chiefs Interview Jeff Fisher

According to Bob Gretz of bobgretz.com, the Kansas City Chiefs interviewed former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher last week.

According to Gretz, the meeting didn’t really move past just a general interview, and he does not think Fisher will be coming to Kansas City.

Fisher has been making the rounds and this is the first we heard of him interviewing in Kansas City. I never assumed the Chiefs would want to pony up the cash to land Fisher but I am not surprised they interviewed him. Scott Pioli needs to do his due diligence even if he has already decided that Romeo Crennel is likely the man for the job.

Fisher probably isn’t the best fit for this Chiefs team anyway. He is likely a guy who will want to do things his own way, not the Patriot Way or Scott Pioli Way or whatever way the Chiefs are doing things these days.

Since Scott Pioli isn’t going anywhere any time soon, I am ok with him hiring a guy like Romeo. At this point, it is sink or swim with Pioli so the team might as well have a staff that is on the same page and gets along.
