Chiefs Confirm Release Of Jared Gaither

Josh Looney has confirmed to me that the Kansas City Chiefs have released former Baltimore Ravens tackle Jared Gaither.

Now that we know it is official, we can continue obsessing about Gaither’s replacement. If I were a betting man, I’d put my money on Mims being promoted from the practice squad.

Even if the Chiefs really like Maneri, rolling with only three tackles is kind of risky, especially when one of those tackles is named Barry Richardson.

Then again, I know the Chiefs like versatility on their offensive line, and they may feel that Jon Asamoah could step in and play a little tackle in an emergency situation.

Update: The move has also now been announced on KCChiefs.com.
