Jeremy Horne Travels To New England With Team

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Horne traveled with the team to New England for tonight’s game against the Patriots.

Why is this noteworthy?

Because Jeremy Horn is on the Chiefs’ practice squad and is not eligible to participate in games unless he is brought up to the active roster.

Connecting the dots here tells us that the Chiefs may have brought Horne along in case Scott Pioli decides to place injured QB Matt Cassel on IR before kickoff tonight. If that is the case, the Chiefs could promote Horne and he could be available to play should Tyler Palko get so bored with throwing TDs to Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin that the Chiefs need to put in another WR to avoid running up the score on the Patriots.

In all seriousness, I think we can pretty much put the nail in Cassel’s coffin here.

Palko, McGraw, Pope, O’Connell, Battle and Horne? Watch yo ass, New England!
