Chiefs Working Out Inside Linebackers

The Kansas City Chiefs have worked out a couple of linebackers, according to Adam Caplan.

Matt Wilhelm was a 4th round pick by the San Diego Chargers in 2003. He was cut in 2008 and has been cut by the 49ers and Packers in the last two years. He has 243 career tackles and two sacks.

Leon Williams was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 4th round in 2006. He had 85 tackles and four sacks for the Browns in 2007. He was out of the NFL in 2009 and spent some time with the Dallas Cowboys as a reserve in 2010.

Interesting that the Chiefs are looking at middle linebackers. They seem to be doing alright with DJ and Belcher and with Williams as a backup. Still, the team has shown interest in bolstering the depth at the position. With Brandon Siler out for the year, I guess they are using the bye week to see what is out there.
