Plaxico Burress Signs With The NY Jets

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that embattled WR Plaxico Burress is going back to NY to resurrect his career…but this time it will be with the NY Jets.

Plax apparently got a one-year, $3,017,000 contract. All of that money is guaranteed. He reportedly chose between the Jets and the Steelers.

The Jets seem to be all about going after big name free agents. They lost out on their attempt to acquire CB Nnamdi Asamough Asomugha. They already managed to re-sign WR Santonio Holmes so if Plax can come even close to his production level before shooting himself in the leg and going to prison, NY’s offense could be extremely potent.

The Chiefs will find out just how potent when they travel to NJ on December 12th.
