Josh Looney of KCChiefs.com just announced via Twitter that the Chiefs have signed former Northwester WR Zeke Markshausen. According to Looney, Markshausen will wear #5.

Markshausen is not a big receiver, at 5’11, 185 he figures to be a slot possibility.

Markshausenis a bit of an underdog story. He transferred to Northwestern from Division III Wisconsin Platteville in 2005. He only had one catch to his name before his senior season when he caught 79 balls in 2009. He even threw for a TD.

Markshausenis went undrafted in 2010 and was signed by the Chicago Bears last year. He was cut in training camp on August 30th, 2010.

He is likely just a training camp body for the Chiefs.
