This makes a ton of sense for the Chiefs. The team is in desperate need of a veteran receiver, preferably to play the slot. Breaston could step right into Todd Haley’s offense and produce.

More on Breaston after the jump.

Breaston was productive last year in Arizona, even given their terrible QB situation. He recorded 47 receptions for 718 yards and one TD in 13 games of action. In 2008, the year the Cardinals nearly won the Super Bowl with Todd Haley as offensive coordinator, Breaston had his best season catching 77 passes for 1,006 yards and 3 TD’s. That year, he was third on the depth chart behind Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.

At 6-0. 189, Breaston is only 27 years old. He would be a perfect addition to the Bowe, Baldwin combo.

Get it done Pioli.
