The KC Chiefs May Want WR Kevin Curtis Back

by Chiefs

According to Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk one surprise free agent classification is that the Kansas City Chiefs have the right of first refusal on WR Kevin Curtis.

Curtis was not on the Chiefs roster very long last year, but they still decided to start him in the playoff game versus Baltimore over veteran Chris Chambers and rookie Verran Tucker. Could it be that the Chiefs think they already have the slot WR most think they need? Curtis was productive earlier in his career, but has battled injuries for the last couple seasons.

So what do you think Addicts, could Kevin Curtis be back in KC this season?

I sure as hell hope not, the chiefs have too much money to spend in free agency to sit back and resign curtis, when there are all the other wr's out there, although be it improbable, id really love to see a bowe burress combination, combine those two, with the rook, and mccluster, REALLY, who are you gonna cover as a defense????

@Celtks Not saying that this is a good thing, but the lack of production was due to injury, not inability. 2008 - hernia 2009 - knee surgery 2010 - testicular cancer If he's healthy now (and that's a big IF) he could be a solid option to play some slot for us.

D.Bowe and J.B at wr 1 & 2. J.Urban slot. Dex 4th. V.Tucker 5th. I would love to sign another decent free agent wr to add to the mix.(not named k.curtis) chambers is cut. Im not a big terence copper fan.

I hope not. He is garbage.

Right but neither have any Chiefs receivers not named Bowe. Curtis is worth bringing in to camp, given our poor WR group. @Celtks

He has not produced since 2007. 2010 Miami Dolphins 6 2009 Philadelphia Eagles 77 2008 Philadelphia Eagles 390 2007 Philadelphia Eagles 1,110 2006 St. Louis Rams 479 2005 St. Louis Rams 801 2004 St. Louis Rams 421 2003 St. Louis Rams 13 TOTAL YARDS 3,297

Like I said earlier, bring this guy back. He has a ton of ability when healthy. He will come cheap and is worth a shot.
