Update: Matt Cassel Fractures Both Legs In Car Accident.

Well folks, it looks like drafting a QB just shot up the needs chart for the Chiefs. Information is beginning to trickle out from various local media sources that Matt Cassel has suffered compound fractures in both legs as a result of a head on collision on I-470. Based on what’s being reported, it appears that Matt will be out for the entire 2011 season and that this could even mean the end of his pro football career. No word on the condition of the other driver. Needless to say, our wishes go out to him and his family for a speedy and complete recovery.

4:00 EDT Update – It appears there has been significant confusion about the spelling of the last name in the aforementioned mishap. It appears that the individual in question was not Chiefs QB Matt Cassel but rather, a Jimmy John’s deliveryman named Matt Castle. Phew!!!
