Happy New Year From Arrowhead Addict

2010 was quite a year for the Kansas City Chiefs and it was quite a year for Arrowhead Addict.

On December 16th of last year I made my very first post on this site and we have come a long, long way. On New Years Eve 2009, I had only been on the job a couple of weeks. Here is what I said in our midnight post.

"Happy New Year Addicts! We just wanted to write and thank you for following this incredible Chiefs Blog for another year. A lot is going to change around here over the next year and we can’t wait to bring you even more Chiefs content. We won’t be waiting for next season either. Make sure you check AA daily for all the latest draft news. We plan on bringing you the best Chiefs draft coverage on the net. We’ll have mocks and analysis leading right up until draft day so that you know everything there is to know about Don Pioli’s picks."

Crazy right? There was still one game to go and we were already focused on the draft. Traffic on the site was also pretty low so I was concerned with making sure folks didn’t buzz off during the offseason.

Thankfully, they didn’t. We build this site back from the ground up and this month we once again shattered our monthly traffic record. Arrowhead Addict had over 6 times as many visits this December as it did last year.

That is thanks to all of you! I am so glad to be writing for this web site and following this great team. What a difference a year makes, right? Last year it was draft talk, this year it is playoff talk! Let’s hope for a repeat next year.

With that, I’ll close the first post of 2011 the same way I closed the first post of 2010.
