Chiefs File Tampering Charges Against Lions

Alex Marvex of Fox Sports is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have filed tampering charges against the Detroit Lions.

This has to do with Gunther Cunningham, who said last year that he’d like to catch some of KC’s players if the team were to keep dumping them.

That comment isn’t necessarily tampering because Gun didn’t single out any player by name but it could allude that some shady business went on behind the scenes and that Don Pioli found out about it and now had a hit out on the Lions.

What is tampering? Basically if a player is under contract with the Chiefs, until he is no longer in the Chiefs’ employ, he cannot be contacted in any way, shape or form by any representative from another team about possible employment.

If the Lions are given cement shows and dropped in the East River by Don Pioli found guilty by the NFL, they could lose some draft picks.
