Report: Chiefs Bring Back WR Jeremy Horne

Citing  an unnamed source, Mac’s Football Blog is reporting that the Chiefs have signed recently released WR Jeremy Horne to the team’s practice squad.

The Chiefs released Horne last Saturday and promoted Verran Tucker from the practice squad to the main roster. Horne had been seen in a walking boot earlier in the week and since the Chiefs were so thin at WR, having benched Chris Chambers, they needed an able body. I hypothesized back then that Horne would be brought back if he cleared waivers and it looks like that is the case.

My guess is that when Horne recovers from his injury the Chiefs will promote him back to the main roster unless they are overly impressed with Tucker.

The danger here is that any team can pluck a player from the practice squad at any time. Given that Horne is likely suffering from an injury it is unlikely anyone will come calling.

We’ll let you know if and when the Chiefs confirm this news.

What do you think Addicts? If the report is valid, are you glad Horne is back?
