Niners TE Vernon Davis seems to think his team is going to walk in to Arrowhead Stadium and handle the Kansas City Chiefs.

From Kent Babb via Twitter:

kentbabb San Francisco tight end Vernon Davis all but guarantees a win Sunday against KC: “We will win this one,” he said. “We will win this game.”

It makes sense that Davis would say this. His team has their backs against a wall and failure to win Sunday in Kansas City would be seriously detrimental to their playoff aspirations.

That being said, now I really, really want the Chiefs to shut him up by just stomping the 49ers on Sunday.

Babb later tweeted that he asked Chiefs DE Shaun Smith about Davis’ coments.

“We’ll see what happens on Sunday,” smith told Babb.

It won’t be easy but if the Chiefs are able to take advantage of all of their playmakers, I think they can do just that.

One thing is for sure, Todd Haley now has some solid bulletin board material available for the rest of the week.
