Chiefs Release 13, Leggett, Urban Moved To IR

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their roster cuts.

"JoshLooney 13 #Chiefs Released: C. Brown, G. Brown, Gales, B. Greenwood, D. Harris, Herron, Lokey, Morgan, Palko, Price, Tucker, Walters and J Williams"

The big surprise is the placement of Jerhemy Urban on the injured reserve list. Maurice Leggett landing there is somewhat surprising as well, though he did suffer a serious looking neck injury in the preseason.

This means Corey Greenwood, Justin Cole and Jeremy Horne are safe for now.

The release of Palko means the Chiefs are likely to make more roster moves soon. It is doubtful the team will go in to the season with just two QB’s.
