Chiefs Cut Two 2009 Draft Picks

The 2009 Kansas City Chiefs rookie class did not make much of an impact last season.Now two of those former rookies are former Chiefs.

Scott Pioli showed some ability to admit to his mistakes as he cut ties with Colin Brown (5th round selection) and Javarris Williams (7th round selection) this evening.

The departure of Brown and Williams means only six of 2009’s eight draft picks remain.

Brown and Williams may not be the last of the 2009 draft picks to be sent packing. It is likely that Donald Washington, Jake O’Connel, Alex MaGee and even Quentin Lawrence could see their roster bubble burst if the Chiefs make any other pickups.

Since the team cut 3rd string QB Tyler Palko today, it is expected they will make at lease one more move.
