Chiefs Release 4 Players

Each NFL team must cut their roster by 5 players on August 31st and the Chiefs got an early jump today by releasing 4.

The Chiefs cut T/G Tyler Eastman, RB Kestahn Moore, TE Cody Slate and QB Bill Stull.

None of these cuts really come as a surprise. Moore and Slate kicked up some dust early in training camp but neither has done much in the preseason to really stand out. Stull was signed as an emergency QB because of Croyle’s injury and Eastan has been a non-factor.

Moore and Slate probably have the best chance of catching on with other teams and that may be why the Chiefs decided to cut them early. Jackie Battle’s recent surge has given him the leg up over Moore.

The big cut down will come September 4th when all NFL teams must get down to 53 players.
