OTA Report

facebooktwitterreddit

We have the benefit of an extra point of view today as Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride was also in attendance at today’s OTA practice.

The word out of Arrowhead today is that the Chiefs offense bounced back after getting slapped around a little bit by the defense yesterday. That isn’t to say the defense wilted after having a good day. While the offense had some nice moments, the defense brought the hammer down during the 2 minute drills.

The first team D forced the first team offense to turn the ball over on downs and the second team D picked off the the second team offense.

More notes:

-Berry and Kendrick Lewis were again the starting safeties.

-DJ and Belcher were again the starting middle linebackers.

-Dexter McCluster had a nice over the shoulder catch from Cassel that went for 6.

Bob Gretz reported that the offense seemed to be running mostly out of a 3 WR set with one running back. Bowe and Chambers with McCluster in the slot.

-Bowe apparently terrorized CB Maurice Leggett. Let’s hope Flowers gets back soon.
