Last season Brian Waters was the NFL’s recipient of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which recognizes a player for excellence both on and off the field. Waters was honored not just for his play but because extremely active in the community.

Well, Waters is being honored again and this time with the Henry P. Iba Citizen Athlete Award, according to Tulsa World.com.

"The Iba Awards, named in memory of former Oklahoma State and Olympic basketball coach Henry Iba, were created in 1994 to annually recognize a male and female athlete who excel in their sport, who exemplify a high degree of citizenship and who demonstrate by their actions a desire to help others. The 2010 recipients — Waters and Ruth Riley of the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars — will be honored June 14 at the Renaissance Hotel."

It is good to see Brian Waters is still representing the Chiefs well and is being recognized for his generosity. Congratulations Brian.
