22 Picks Into The Draft, Clausen, Bryant Wait

I have to say, I a totally shocked that Jimmy Clausen and Dez Bryant have still not been selected. Most of the media folks I have talked to are feeling pretty bad for these two. The last I heard, Bryant had left the back room and was outside pacing. He has been doing this for about 10 or 11 picks right now. He is said to be very, very nervous.

I got some footage of Bryant on the Red Carpet before the draft and he seemed to be in very good spirits. How was bouncing around and smiling and he said he couldn’t wait to find out who he was going to play for. You have to feel for the guy, as he is sure to be nervous and slightly embarrassed. I guess that is the risk you take coming all the way to NYC to be here live. Now that the Broncos have traded up to select Thomas with the 22nd selection, Bryant has to be wondering if he will be going to bed tonight not knowing who he will play for next season.

As for Clausen, no one has heard anything about how the Notre Dame product is coping.

Odds are, with these talented players slipping, someone is going to trade back into the end of the 1st round to get them. The only question is, who?
