Chiefs Preseason Schedule!

facebooktwitterreddit

Football is coming! The NFL 2010 preseason schedule has been released. You may not be surprised to learn that the Chiefs will not be featured in a nationally televised game. Big surprise there. Let’s hope that changes for the regular season. There are no dates yet for any of the Chiefs games but I feature the week the game will be played.

Here are the Chiefs games:

Week 1 (Aug. 12-16)
At Falcons

Week 2 (Aug. 19-23)
At Buccaneers

Week 3 (Aug. 26-29)
Eagles at home in the new Arrowhead

Week 4 (Sept. 2-3)
Packers at home

Notably the Chiefs begin 2010 football by facing future Hall of Famer and former Chiefs great, Tony Gonzalez, for the first time since he was traded last season. We likely won’t see much of the starters in this game.

The 2nd game of 2010 will send the Chiefs to Florida to take on the Bucs. The Bucs were worse than the Chiefs last year so it would be nice to see the starters perform well here against one of the NFL’s other bottom feeders.

The all important 3rd preseason game where starters usually see the most time will be at home in the new arrowhead Stadium against the formidable Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles crushed the Chiefs early last season so the Chiefs can look for revenge in the third preseason game. While you can never rely to heavily on preseason performances, it will be nice to see if the Chiefs measure up a little bit better this time when they meet the Eagles.

The final game of the preseason will also be against a solid NFC opponent in the Green Bay Packers. This slot in the preseason is usually reserved for the Governors Cup match up featuring the Chiefs and the Rams, however, as the two teams play each other in the regular season this year, the game will be left out of the preseason schedule.

What do you think, Addicts? Yay or nay to the preseason schedule? See the rest of the games including the nationally televised ones, here.
