Battle Axe Re-Signed

by Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Friday that the club has re-signed RB Jackie Battle.

Battle (6-2, 238) has played in 17 games with Kansas City (2007-09). He owns 21 carries for 68 yards with a TD, in addition to 10 special teams tackles. He played in five contests for the Chiefs in 2009 before being placed on injured reserve. He originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Dallas in 2007. Battle had 441 carries for 2,120 yards with a school-record 31 TDs during his collegiate career at the University of Houston. He enjoyed a standout prep career at Humble High School in Humble, Texas.

The Axe is back for the goal line and short yardage carries.  Thoughts?

The signing of Battle has been a long hard process taking 100% of Pioli’s focus and time over the past several weeks. But he is proud to announce that his amazing Negotiating skills and total devotion to getting this deal done has finally paid off! Now to celebrate this monumental accomplishment He plans on taking the entire sr. staff on an extended cruise to the center of the Pacific Ocean.

Jeremy:

Not sure, but I think he is closer to camp fodder than contributing part.

Wow. We missed out on Boldin and Peppers but we got Battle and Vrabel back so I think we are playoff bound! Go Pioli, don't change a thing! He is awake, right?

Nice Merlin. lol. Apparently you think he is camp legs?

Don't order your Battle Axe jerseys.
