Would You Make A Trade For TE Greg Olsen?

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s Greg Bedard, the loudest Combine chatter of late has been that Bears TE Greg Olsen is on the block.

According to Rotoworld.com: “one rumor making the rounds had Olsen going to the Pats for one of the team’s three second-round picks. Olsen’s skills are a poor fit for Mike Martz’s offense and the Bears don’t have an early-round pick this year, so the chatter makes sense on the surface. ”

We need a tight end, and we have two second round picks.  Would you pull the trigger?  Could we spare one of those second round picks? Here are his stats.

How Much Stuff Does One Man Need?
Get Rich Slowly blog It seems like everytime I travel, I come home committed to win my war on Stuff. This time was no different. I lived out of a single carry-on bag while vacationing in Belize last week, and even ...

T.G. and Cassel would have been a very nice combo. And imma laugh my butt off when we make the playoffs next year and Atlanta does not. That being said, Dwayne Bowe, this is your year. I personally am giving Bowe a mulligan for last year. He had a lot of adjusting to do with the new coaches and higher standards. All in all, it took him a while, but I saw glimpses of greatness from Bowe last year that says he is primed to become the beast we drafted 3 years ago. Honestly, with so much being said about who KC should take at #5, there is no sure thing. My draft board would look like this #1. E. Berry, if he's off the board I think Dez Bryant is the next position of priority we need to address. Is it April yet? Imma freeze myself (ala Eric Cartman) until April 22nd. Go Chiefs!!

we had the best tight end in football, they should of hung on to him. Cassel and tony would of been a great combitation.

I'd love to get him for a cheaper price/pick. But we have so many holes that I don't think benefit of getting him compared to the cost (long-term) of losing a 2nd rounder is worth it.

Pass, we have other needs that would be better addressed with our second round picks. Plus, there are some good 4th round TE's we can look at.

I'm a of the Chicago Bears and have liked what I've seen from Olsen since he was drafted. That being said, I think the 2010 draft is deep at TE and we could get a good one in the 4th or even 5th round. Since this draft is so deep defensively, and we need so much help on that side of the ball, I'd rather keep the 2nd rounder.

On draft day, if Olsen is still there and we trade back so that we get an extra 2nd round pick I might be inclined to pull the trigger.

If the Chiefs could land Olsen for a 2nd round pick then they should have done it yesterday. Olsen remember hails from The U which has produced several top notch TE's. Olsen represents a huge target with great athletic ability. Pull the trigger Pioli.

I say yes and yes, but I am with ChiefInOhio - hate to give up a 2nd round pick.

Olsen's stats have increased each year in the league, even last year, with Jay "Intercept-Me" Cutler at the helm. He's proven he can catch passes and be productive at this level.

What does Cottam have? A big body? I can't speak for either as a blocker, but Olsen is twice the receiver that Cottam is.

Having said that, I'm not sure that giving up a 2nd round pick in this draft is worth a TE (or a RB). For Boldin, probably, but for a TE, not so sure. Seems like a luxury trade.

This position is a huge need for us. We need a good TE for Cassel to live up to his potential. I would give our later 2nd round pick for Olsen or Ben Watson, than sign Sproles, and Boldin- suddenly we are looking very potent offensively.

I love Cottam, always have, but why did he develop so late, and is there any guaranteee he will be better this year. Something is up with him.

Pioli himself said TE is a huge area of need for the Chiefs.

No we Have To many other needs and cottom showed signs he Could b good
