Being a devout Chiefs fan lately has been very painful for all of us. It has even harkened some to question their fandom and quit. However, just remember, this pain is only temporary, it will obviously last the rest of this season, and maybe into the next, but the pain will go away, and in its stead will be great pride, as it once was. If you abandon your fanaticism of the Chiefs now, your disappointment will last forever. Just think about how wonderful it is going to be to say that you have always [...]

A Quick Bye Week Thought
Larry Johnson: The Great Escape
Larry Johnson is planning the Great Escape! Yes, the Great Escape from Kansas City. As he approaches his 30th birthday on November 19, let us examine the facts to support this theory.
1.Larry Johnson never liked being with K.C and immediately got in the doghouse of Dick Vermeil — “take your diapers off” episode.
2.Larry Johnson’s total yards have fallen dramatically from his high in 2005 and 2006 of 1750 yards and 1789 yards to 559 in 2007, 874 in 2008 and 358 in 2009.
3.Likewise his average yards per carry have fallen from a high of 5.2 ypc in 2005 to a [...]
Talk about perfect timing.
Here is the situation folks. Todd Haley’s team heads into the bye week sitting at 1-6, reeling from an exposing loss to a division rival at home. At a time when all the attention and questioning ought to be focused like a laser beam on things like personnel decisions and horrible playcalling, the jester deftly slides to the front and provides us with a diversion.
Were it not for LJ giving us a reason to talk about his firing, might we be arguing over whether Todd Haley should keep his job instead?
What do you think? Are we truly [...]
Chiefs Send Larry Johnson Home
POSTED ON WWW.KCCHIEFS.COM
The Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football League are continuing to investigate the alleged comments made by Larry Johnson. Until that review is complete, the Chiefs have instructed Larry to refrain from practicing with the Chiefs or participating in other team activities. A decision regarding Larry’s status will be made once the investigation has concluded.
This year is marked by the current regime trying to identify their core players. So, I thought I would give it my shot and toss it out to everyone for comments.
What is a core player? I am defining a core player as a player that will be a very good player that should be around for the next five years.
Offense:
Matt Cassel: He has proven to have leadership and enough ability to be a solid starter in the NFL. I do worry about the mental beating he is taking being this offensive line. We don’t need him to start getting happy [...]
In case you were wondering, this is what the players where thinking Sunday during and after the game:
Jamaal Charles: “If I don’t block this special team guy in front of me, I can get down the field faster to miss my tackle of the punt returner”. (Missed block leads to blocked punt)
Sean Ryan: “Why should I use my hands to make a catch, the chest works just as good”. (Another pass bounces off his chest and into the arms of a defender)
Dwayne Bowe: “It is much better to drop a few passes, that way no one can expect me to [...]
Multiple sources (check out Adam’s spin on the situation over at FanSided.com) describe a “Twitter Meltdown” by our running back Larry Johnson after yesterdays stomping the Chiefs suffered courtesy of San Diego. After careful study of the linguistics used by Mr. Johnson it appears he feels that Coach Haley suffers from a lack of actual on-field experience that Larry’s dad has benefited from. It could of course be argued that Larrys dad can’t boast the Superbowl appearance as a coach that Todd Haley lists on his resume’, not to mention the fact that Larry’s dad coaches at the institution famous [...]
