Worth A 1,000 Words…
Update 9:55:35 (via PFT): Adam Schefter confirmed this. Josh Brown is not only a Ram, but also the highest-paid kicker in NFL history. At least we saved some cheese, I guess
From Rotoworld…
Looks like there might actually be something to this Lito Sheppard thing. From Pro Football Talk:
With cornerback Asante Samuel in the fold, the Eagles are now going to attempt to trade cornerback Lito Sheppard, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.
Calls are already coming in for Sheppard, a first-round draft pick in 2002 who is still only 26 years old…
Sheppard is under contract for four more seasons, with base salaries of $2 million in 2008, $3 million in 2009, $3.7 million in 2010, and $4.25 million in 2011.
Now I’m out…
These are the Chiefs‘ scheduled visits that have been reported widely enough that we feel comfortable confirming them:
K Josh Brown, Seattle – Today/Saturday (unless he signs with St. Louis today)
OLB Demorrio Williams, Atlanta – Today
CB Jacques Reeves, Dallas – Tuesday
That’s all we have right now, besides rumors that we are interested in Donte’ Stallworth, Drew Carter and Randall Gay, though nothing is confirmed.
One other idea I want to point out before I sign off is this: Dwayne Robertson. The Jets are going to likely cut him after not receiving any trade offers of value, the NFLN’s Adam Schefter is reporting. [...]
Stray Arrows: Broncos Cut Walker
The Denver Broncos have officially cut Javon Walker. Should the Chiefs pursue him? There’s nothing better than sticking it to the Donks. From KFFL:
Broncos | Team releases Walker

ESPNews reports the Denver Broncos released WR Javon Walker Friday, Feb. 29.
First off, this is the first time that our beloved K-State basketball team has made the front of ESPN.com since Bob Huggins left or the Pervis Pasco incident. Naturally, I had to include a screenshot…
The big news is that Michael Beasley says in this article that he might not be ready to go pro, ready for the NBA, the big lights and responsibility:
The very definition of a man-child, Beasley is on the precipice of fame, fortune and adulthood. Yet he is terrified of making the leap.
“I honestly feel like I don’t belong sometimes,” Beasley said. “I’m just a regular guy, [...]
Looks like Asante Samuel is going to the Eagles, which would pave the way for a Jared Allen-Lito Shepard trade. From KFFL:
Eagles | Samuel expected to sign soon
Fri, 29 Feb 2008 09:19:56 -0800
Updating a previous report, John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Philadelphia Eagles are expected to sign unrestricted free-agent CB Asante Samuel (Patriots) soon. The deal is expected to be more than five years and $47.2 million.
(hat tip: Inside the Iggles)
I read over on ESPN that the Chiefs called the Vikings about receiver Troy Williamson. I have also heard that we might bring in Drew Carter for a visit. Still just a rumor, though. Looks like we are actively pursuing receivers, however, and that’s definitely a good sign.
