All the big boys are reporting that Al Davis has signed Daunte Culpepper to a one-year deal. I love this because I thought the Raiders should have originally drafted Calvin Johnson and then sign Daunte. Congrats Al!

610 Sports is reporting that first-round pick Dwayne Bowe has finally signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ll keep you posted with details as we get them. Hopefully, this is true, as we’ve heard in the past few days that D-Bo and his agents were waiting for Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell to sign first. 610 also reported that Bowe should be at camp tomorrow.

The first thing that comes to mind is that Bernard Pollard is really putting on a show out there. Yesterday he apparently had a crazy pick-six where he jumped up, tipped the ball, came down with it and took it to the house. Considering the way he hits and tackles, his play in pass coverage is very encouraging. I’m starting to think that Pollard could end up a Pro Bowler, maybe even soon. I know my rankings probably shock some of you a bit, but that’s just the way I’m seeing it. I honestly think that — barring that Dwayne Bowe and Larry Johnson both sign — we had the best offseason in the division.

There’s no real reason to mention that Kansas City’s first-round pick, Dwayne Bowe, isn’t in training camp. Contract disputes with draft picks are a Chiefs tradition, right along with first-round playoff losses and tailgating.
