Who is singing the National Anthem for Chiefs vs Buccaneers?
By Matt Conner
The feel is electric in Kansas City these days.
Not only are the Chiefs leading the entire NFL with an unblemished record heading into Week 9, but they're adding new faces as reinforcements, which should only make slowing their momentum that much more difficult for teams already looking up at them in the standings.
Recent trades have brought in wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and pass rusher Joshua Uche and both should make their presence felt on Monday Night Football as the Chiefs host the Tampa Bay Buccaneeers at Arrowhead Stadium for another primetime affair. For Hopkins, it's his second game, so he should find himself on the receving end of a lot more targets. For Uche, it's a chance to wet his beak knowing his best work is to come down the stretch.
What's even more exciting is that the Chiefs might not be done shopping. Brett Veach is reportedly still seeking some help at corner and wide receiver. That's good because the injuries continue to pile up for the team with tight ends Jody Fortson and Jared Wiley both taken out for the season in the last week.
The latest visitors are aiso ailing with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin both out for the MNF matchup, but the Bucs are still dangerous offensively and they're well-coached, so you can be sure the Chiefs aren't looking past them at all. There's too much history and respect here between the teams, so you can be sure a great game is in store in primetime to close Week 9 of the NFL season.
