The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to play in the NFL's second straight edition of Black Friday football. While people will be enjoying leftovers from their Thanksgiving meals, the Chiefs have business to attend to, hosting the Las Vegas Raiders for a Week 13 match-up.

These two teams have experienced very different seasons with the Chiefs sitting at 10-1 and defending their back-to-back Super Bowl titles with their lives. Meanwhile, the Raiders have just two wins and look to be prepared to hit the reset button once again while the other two teams that struggled alongside them in the division are trending in the right direction.

That being said, not only are divisional games tricky for any team in the league but the Chiefs never blow their opponents out. That's why you can surely bet on K.C. having to pull out some magic in the final few minutes once again because that's what this team does.

With the Chiefs playing on Amazon Prime for the first time this season, fans might not know who the broadcasting crew is going to be so let's discuss that along with who will be refffing this rare Friday NFL game.

Announcers for Chiefs vs. Raiders

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Al Michaels
  • Color Commentator: Kirk Herbstreit
  • Sideline Reporter: Kaylee Hartung

Basically, the Chiefs will have the normal Thursday Night Football crew for their game on Friday. Michaels, Herbstreit, and Hartung have been calling games on Amazon Prime since the 2022 season after Michaels and NBC parted ways. Herbstreit also calls college football games as well.

Referees for Chiefs vs. Raiders

Head Referee: Clay Martin

This week's main ref for the Chiefs will be Clay Martin, who started as an NFL umpire in 2015. Martin was promoted to referee in 2018 where he's remained ever since. He was the head ref for one game in 2023 and it was the London game where the Chiefs defeated the Dolphins.

Martin hasn't reffed many Chiefs games in recent years but the most notable he called was the playoff game between the Chiefs and Browns in the 2021 playoffs (2020 season). The Chiefs narrowly won that game despite Patrick Mahomes having to exit with an injury and Chad Henne having to step in and play hero ball.

The Chiefs tend to win the games that Martin is in charge of so let's hope that continues this weekend and that K.C. can sweep the Raiders in 2024.
