West Wilson is best known to Bravo fans as a standout on Summer House, but his world stretches well beyond reality TV. A former college safety, Wilson is also a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan who has ventured into sportscasting and podcast hosting as well.
Wilson recently joined Sterling Holmes on the Arrowhead Addict podcast to discuss Chiefs football, share his passion for tailgating, and spotlight The Captain's Challenge, a season-long campaign from Captain Morgan to turn spontaneous game-day fun into unforgettable surprises. “Anything can happen on game day, and we’re going to keep fans on their toes," said Wilson
Despite the Chiefs' lackluster start, Wilson refuses to buy into any doom-and-gloom narratives. “Have we not learned as Chiefs fans—or national media—that we overreact to a single loss every year?” said Wilson
West Wilson joins the Arrowhead Addict podcast to talk about his deep love for the Chiefs.
With Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid at the helm, Wilson insists there’s no reason for Chiefs Kingdom to panic. “We’ll coast until December and then turn it on,” he said.
Wilson also raved about the Chiefs' defense, calling Week 1 an outlier and highlighting rookie corner Nohl Williams as a fast-rising difference-maker for coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. “Spags’ defenses always get better as the season goes,” he explains.
If Wilson were Kansas City’s general manager for a day instead of Brett Veach he says his first move would have nothing to do with X’s and O’s. “I’d put out an official press release saying we’re not moving away from Arrowhead—ever. I’d throw that message in Captain Morgan bottles down the Missouri River if I had to.”
Our conversation with Wilson wasn’t all Chiefs and rum cocktails. Wilson dished on his Show Me Something podcast with WNBA star Sophie Cunningham and shared his most embarrassing reality-TV moments (including a reunion taping gone hilariously wrong).
