Tyreek Hill knows a thing or two about leaving an opponent looking silly, so it's no surprise that such a skill translates to social media. The latest example of Hill's ability to embarrass the competition comes via a hilarious post directed at sprinter Noah Lyles.
Context is always important, and the present story is no exception. Shortly after Lyles took home the gold medal in the 100 meter event at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, Hill issued a challenge to race him in a 50m dash.
The event was reportedly scheduled for this coming weekend in Times Square, and Lyles even recently said organizers were "very deep" into event planning. However, Lyles has decided to call it off.
"Unfortunately, there were some things, complications, personal reasons that it just didn't come to pass, but we were full on," said Lyles. "We were going to shut down New York's Times Square and everything, it was going to be a lot of fun."
In response, Hill had the ideal response to Lyles:

Back in February, Lyles tried his best to push Hill's buttons with a memorable note after winning a 60m race at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.

Tyreek has a history of challenging the world's fastest athletes to race him, and Lyles is just the latest link in the chain. After a few years in the league, as Hill was climbing the ranks of NFL wideouts to become a household name, he emphasized his speed with a general challenge in 2020 that he would race anyone.
In 2021, Hill was able to follow through and race former NFL wideouts Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens. That was about the same time that rumors of a potential contest against Usain Bolt emerged, which remained a talking point for the next few years.
Even as he nears the twilight of his NFL career, Hill remains one of the league's fastest players, and the confidence certainly hasn't waned—or at least his ability to trash talk. We're not sure who would win in an actual race, but Hill has a leg up online.
