Two Chiefs defenders somehow deflect wild touchdown pass from Bo Nix

Normally it's a good thing when a defender can get a hand on the ball. When two defenders end up potentially making the grab on the same play, you'd think it's an easy interception for the defense—or at least a memorable play for them. In Week 18, however, it's going to mean something else for the Chiefs defense.

In the second quarter of the Broncos' game against the Chiefs in Week 18, quarterback Bo Nix threw a pass to tight end Adam Trautman in the back of the end zone. Chiefs cornerback Nazeeh Johnson was able to cover him well and both players ended up deflecting the pass, which kept the ball alive.

Surprisingly the ball kept bouncing upward and Chiefs corner Keith Taylor had the chance to create a takeaway only to have the ball slip out and up once more before wideout Devaughn Vele came down with it in a heads-up play that was almost out of bounds.

The final product is worth a watch (and then another):

The good news is that the Chiefs seem to be using up all of their "nothing goes our way" mojo in this game that's ultimately meaningless to them in the standings or playoff positioning. If anything, these players will forever be able to say they were a part of an insane touchdown in Denver in which four different players touched the ball.
