It's finally happened -- Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has popped the question to pop star Taylor Swift and the two are officially engaged!

Swift posted the engagement announcement on her Instagram on Tuesday afternoon with the caption "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married" with a dynamite emoji. She shared five photos from the proposal including Kelce on one knee, the two looking deep into each other's eyes, the ring itself, the two embracing, and finally sitting together on a couch surrounded by flowers. The background music for the post was "So High School" by the one and only T-Swift.

Kelce and Swift began publicly dating in September 2023 when the pop star attended the Chiefs' game against the Chicago Bears. From then on, she attended the majority of K.C's games, including every playoff game and the Super Bowl where she went viral for her big reactions in the big moments.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged!

Chiefs fans, naturally, are stoked about this news and sounded off on social media about their tight end getting engaged to the biggest pop star on the planet. It wasn't just the fans though, players also chimed in!

Mike Danna was the last player to speak during the pressers and therefore, the first to do so after the engagement news went public. His response was very sweet.

Then, of course, we have to make some jokes about it. It was considerate of Taylor to make the announcement when she did, just ask Chase Snyder.

It's also quite hilarious that the couple decided to announce their engagement on roster cutdown day, knowing it was going to throw a curveball. Gotta love it.

Plenty of NFL reporters simply offered their congratulations with others like Dianna Russini sharing a heart emoji. She really meant it too!

Tom Pelissero's got jokes.

Another roster cutdown day joke. Hey, if you didn't want these jokes to happen, you should have announced it another day, Taylor! (Sarcasm, of course)

Travis' podcast, New Heights, had to get in on the announcement as well!

Congrats to the happy couple! We love love here in Kansas City and are happy to welcome Taylor to the Kingdom full-time.
