Travis Kelce has spent the last 13 seasons racking up the sort of accolades and achievements—new heights, you might say—that 99 percent of NFL players can only dream of. But on Friday night, in the offseason before his 14th and perhaps final year of professional football, Kelce added the biggest moment of all.

Kelce and Taylor Swift officially married at a ceremony at Madison Square Garden over the Fourth of July weekend—an event that reportedly drew 1,000 guests and ended several weeks of fans playing detective over whether the MSG rumors were actually real.

Per a statement from Swift's publicist, Tree Paine, there were no bridesmaids or groomsmen. Jason Kelce served as his brother's best man, while Swift's brother, Austin, stood as her "Man of Honor." Actor and comedian Adam Sandler, a longtime friend of the couple, officiated the ceremony. The newlyweds also reportedly donated $26 million to various charities in the lead-up to the big day, including Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Kelce's Chiefs teammates, past and present, showed up en masse, which isn't surprising given the epic nature of the wedding. Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany were spotted in NYC ahead of the event. Kelce's head coach Andy Reid wasn't going to miss it. Neither did Chris Jones. Former Chiefs also present at the wedding included wideout Mecole Hardman, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, and tight end Ross Travis. Kelce's league-wide draw also pulled in San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

Chiefs Kingdom has watched this story unfold since the summer of 2023, when Kelce admitted on his podcast New Heights that he was disappointed he had failed to give Swift a friendship bracelet at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Three years later, that swing and a miss has turned into the most famous marriage in sports.

The wedding only further cements 2026 as a truly memorable year for Kelce, who took some time to announce his decision as to whether or not he would retire or return to the Chiefs for a 14th season. In the end, the pain of a 6-11 season was too great a motivator to "not go out like this," which means Chiefs fans are preparing to treat the '26 as a final tour for the future Hall of Famer.

Kelce has now added a new ring to his collection—this one just a bit more personal—with the hopes of adding one more in the months ahead.
