Travis Kelce doesn't need help to cover the check these days. That said, he'll likely accept the help offered to him by a fellow NFL legend.
Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez recently said he would help Kelce pay the fine levied by the National Football League against the current Kansas City Chiefs tight end for the use of a prop for a touchdown celebration.
If you're wondering why Gonzalez is getting involved, it's because Kelce was paying tribute to the former Chiefs great while celebrating his ability to break the franchise record for most touchdown receptions.
In case you missed it, Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown to Travis Kelce in the fourth quarter of the team's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, giving the tight end one more than Gonzalez in the Chiefs' record books with the most receiving touchdowns. Kelce then took to the goalposts to do his best Gonzalez impersonation.
The NFL fined #Chiefs TE Travis Kelce $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct (use of prop) — dunking over the crossbar on Christmas in tribute to Tony Gonzalez after breaking his franchise TD record.

Gonzalez already praised Kelce for his productivity and talent earlier in this post which speaks of the mutual respect between both tight ends.
"Couldn't be prouder of you, couldn't be happier for you."
