Texans fans were in shambles after Ka'imi Fairbairn bailed Chiefs out with missed kicks

Not a good game so far.

It's tough being a kicker in the National Football League.

We've all seen our fair share of special teams meltdowns over the years. In fact, some of the most infamous moments in league history come down to kicking foibles in one way or another. Some of them have even defined fan bases for a season. Just ask the Chiefs about the kicker who shall not be named.

We're not sure what history will have to say about Ka'imi Fairbairn for the Houston Texans, but suffice it to say, he's going to hope for brighter moments or even games after the way things have looked through the first few quarters of the team's Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

During a windy and bitterly cold day at Arrowhead, the Texans have leaned on Fairbairn on multiple occasions—for three field goals and an extra point. Unfortunately, an early miss was embarrassingly off, setting up a frustrating afternoon for the Texans kicker.

During the second half, the Texans kept the Chiefs offense on the sidelines with a beautiful drive that ate up most of the third quarter. Joe Mixon's touchdown capped the 15-play drive and Houston felt the momentum up until Fairbairn stepped up.

Sometimes we laugh so we don't cry and we can only assume some posts from Texans fans are coming from that sort of place.

Maybe there is some real voodoo at work around Arrowhead.

Even other fan bases are having a difficult time coping with things at the moment.

You can make a "Bad Blood" joke here.

Pretty much.
