The Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 of the NFL regular season. Not only is this the Chiefs' first game of the year but it'll be the first game of the 2024 NFL regular season slate.

Per tradition, the reigning Super Bowl champion will host a team considered to be a Super Bowl contender to kick off the year and the Chiefs are now doing this for the third time in five years. The first time they won it all in the Patrick Mahomes era, they hosted the Houston Texans to kick off the next season, last year they hosted the Detroit Lions in Week 1, and this time around, it's the Baltimore Ravens coming to Arrowhead.

Chiefs fans are used to seeing the team in these reigning Super Bowl champion Week 1 match-ups so they won't be surprised by much and that includes who's calling the game. The Chiefs aren't just Week 1 key match-up staples but they're primetime staples as well and are used to playing under the lights.

With that being the case, fans have grown accustomed to the big-time announcers in the league calling Chiefs games. Who's on the call for this week's opening match-up against the Ravens?

Chiefs vs. Ravens announcers for Week 1

Since the Chiefs are opening up the season on NBC, they'll have the broadcast crew for Sunday Night Football. This means it'll be Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, and Melissa Stark. Tirico is the play-by-play announcer, Collinsworth is the color commentator, and Stark is the sideline reporter.

Chiefs fans are no strangers to having this crew call their games given that they're typically playing on Sunday Night Football three or four times a season. It could be worse. While most of the league hates hearing Collinsworth fangirl over Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs fans don't mind that one bit because they feel the same way.

The announcers aren't the only thing that fans might be interested in knowing ahead of the game. Referees can 100% impact the game and Chiefs fans will want to know which ref is in charge for Thursday night's match-up.

According to Football Zebras, Shawn Hochuli will be the main referee for the Chiefs/Ravens game. Last year, Hochuli reffed three Chiefs games with the good guys prevailing in all three of those match-ups. Hochuli was the main ref when the Chiefs played the Broncos the first time, the Patriots, and the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round.

Hochuli was the main referee in two Ravens games last year with Baltimore going 2-0 in those games. The first game that Hochuli reffed in for the Ravens was in dsssbbbWeek 2hhhfidhhhhh when they took down the Bengals. The second and last time he reffed a game for Baltimore was when they knocked off Seattle in early November.

The Chiefs are hosting their third banner night in five years, get the primetime slot, and get to kick off the 2024 NFL season. The Ravens are going to be a tough team to beat and both of these teams were undefeated when Hochuli reffed their match-ups.

Let's hope that the refs don't decide the game but if they do, can it be in the Chiefs' favor please?
