Which Chiefs wide receiver deserves to be on the roster bubble the most this offseason?

Isn't it obvious?

The Kansas City Chiefs managed to win their third Super Bowl in five years and they did it with their weakest wide receiver room of the Patrick Mahomes era. The Chiefs have tried to throw a lot of things at the wall to see if it'd stick at the wide receiver position since Tyreek Hill was traded without much success.

In 2022, the Chiefs spent a second-round pick on Western Michigan's Skyy Moore and he's been a disappointment through two seasons. He's only had 43 catches for 494 yards and one touchdown in two seasons at the helm and has struggled with drops and inconsistencies. Yes, he had a touchdown in Super Bowl LVII but that's about it for highlights from Moore.

Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report wrote that Moore is the one player on the Chiefs roster that the team should consider shipping off before the start of the 2024 season. Brett Veach commented on how the team still believes Moore can prove himself and Davenport noted "If Veach can get another team to actually believe that, Kansas City should get what they can and move on."

We know that Skyy Moore is on the roster bubble this summer but which other receivers could find themselves fighting for a roster spot in training camp and preseason?

Chiefs WRs at risk of not making the 2024 roster

Kadarius Toney falls into this category and no team is going to want to trade for him so the Chiefs would have to cut him if they don't want him around. They traded for Toney before the deadline in the 2022 season and while he played a massive part in helping the team win Super Bowl LVII, he's been a disappointment otherwise and has provided plenty of drama during his short time in Kansas City.

Justyn Ross could also be a wide receiver on the chopping block due to not being able to find the field or stay out of trouble. He served a six-game suspension during the 2023 season due to an arrest and finished the season with just six catches for 53 yards. Fans keep thinking they'll see the Ross that balled out at Clemson but it hasn't happened yet despite the Chiefs continuing to give him opportunities.

Anyone lower than those guys on the depth chart (Cornell Powell, Nikko Remigio, Montrell Washington, etc.) won't surprise people if they get cut. They'll really have to prove themselves if they want to stick on the active roster.

Circling back, the Chiefs spent a second-round pick on Moore and he has not lived up to his draft billing at all. It's unlikely that a team would actually want to trade with KC for Moore, especially considering that he's a cut candidate this summer but one way or another, it feels like moving on from Moore would be the right decision for the Kansas City Chiefs.
