It seems like the National Football League enjoyed hosting its biggest game of the year in a desert setting. That's because the Super Bowl will once again be held in a similar environment when the 2024 edition—Super Bowl LVIII—will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The championship game between the top teams in the AFC and the NFC will conclude the NFL season with this ultimate showdown at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, on February 11, 2024. Super Bowl Sunday is an American holiday at this point for everything from the memorable halftime shows to the outrageous commercials and overall pageantry.

Allegiant Stadium is one of the newer stadiums built by an NFL team, and the league is loyal to those who invest billions in the product, so it wasn't a surprise at all to see Sin City win the right to host a Super Bowl. In fact, it shouldn't surprise anyone if the league's owners swing around again in the next decade with another opportunity to host. This will be the first time the state of Nevada has hosted a Super Bowl.

At this time, it's impossible to tell who will be playing in Super Bowl LVIII, but the hopes of any "home team" playing in this game aren't likely considering the Raiders play in the AFC West and have to contend with the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. The L.A. Chargers would also like a word if someone from the division is going to rise up and surprise K.C.
