As a reward for winning the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs will own the final pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Chiefs fans are accustomed to their favorite team picking near the end of the first round and at this point mostly know the drill when draft night rolls around.
The first round of the NFL Draft can be a long event so it wouldn't be surprising if Chiefs Kingdom didn't want to watch the entire round play out. For those who aren't interested in seeing what the other teams do, they might tune out after the first seven or eight picks and then tune back in later.
If Chiefs fans want to take this approach, when can they expect to flip draft coverage back on or on for the first time come draft night?
What time will the Kansas City Chiefs be on the clock in the 2024 NFL Draft?
First and foremost, the draft begins at 7:00 PM CST. With every team having 10 minutes to make their first-round selection and the Chiefs being the final pick of the first round, it's going to be a hot minute before the reigning champs are on the clock. Teams don't typically take the full 10 minutes to make their pick, otherwise, we'd be waiting a much longer time for the final team to hand in their card with the prospect's name on it.
Nate Taylor, the Chiefs beat reporter for The Athletic, tweeted about KC snagging Felix Anudike-Uzomah at 10:52 PM CST. With one more pick in round one this year, Chiefs fans likely won't miss the KC pick as long as they're tuned in by 10:50 PM CST.
Of course, this is just speculation. There's no for sure way to know what time the back-to-back reigning Super Bowl champs will be making their first-round pick in 2024.
