By Matt Conner
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to launch their preseason slate with an on-the-road clash against the New Orleans Saints, scheduled for this upcoming Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m. Central Time.
Anticipation is mounting among fans in the Kingdom as the Chiefs, fresh off their Super Bowl triumph, take their initial steps onto the gridiron for the preseason. While the game will not count for anything meaningful, watching even second and third-string players in red and gold will provide a welcome return to football season after the long offseason.
The Chiefs will visit the Saints at 12:00 p.m. C.T. on Sunday afternoon.
This Sunday's game will be the preseason opener for both teams which means fans will get their first official glimpse of several new players in new places. For the Saints, it will be something to see Derek Carr playing in anything but silver and black. For the Chiefs, it's a chance to show off two new tackles in Donovan Smith and Jawaan Taylor among other new players.
