What channel is the Chiefs vs. Jaguars game on today?
By Matt Conner
The Kansas City Chiefs have to be feeling a lot better at this point heading into their Week 2 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars than they were before the season-opening loss to the Detroit Lions. That's not to say that the Chiefs had any premonitions about what might happen in the shocking Week 1 contest, but rather the roster is looking much better and healthier as they take to the road for the first time in 2023.
The Chiefs lost tight end Travis Kelce shortly before hosting the Lions in Week 1 and that was also without defensive tackle Chris Jones, who was continuing to hold out in response to contract frustrations. While Kelce might be on a snap count this week and Jones will be rounding into shape, the presence of both this week will be a big boost on both sides of the ball.
The Chiefs' opponent this weekend will be the Jacksonville Jaguars, a franchise that lost to the Chiefs twice a year ago, but they proved to be an ascending young team by winning the AFC South in Trevor Lawrence's second season. They also won their first playoff game in several seasons. Given the maturation of a young roster, the influx of a new draft class, and the addition of Calvin Ridley, the Jags won't be taken lightly.
How will the Chiefs' new tackles perform against Travon Walker and Josh Allen? Will Jawaan Taylor have a solid performance against his old team? How will Lawrence fare in this battle of great young quarterbacks? Are the Chiefs ready to stave off an 0-2 beginning to the season?
