The best non-Chiefs games of Week 2: Who will bounce back?

The Chiefs get to play in the noon slot, which is seemingly a rare occasion when you have Patrick Mahomes running the offense. Aside from that game, which games are worth watching? We discuss.

3. Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots

Game time: Sunday, September 17, 7:20 PM CT

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook: Dolphins -2.5

TV: NBC/Universo

What do you know? Another divisional matchup! In this one, the high-flying Miami Dolphins travel to New England to take on the gritty Patriots. This one has a bunch of interesting implications for down the road but for the right here and now, this one has the potential to be very interesting. Bill Belichick is the defensive guru that throws the kitchen sink at opposing quarterbacks and Tua looked unstoppable against the Chargers. Something is going to give.

Miami looked tremendous offensively in Week 1. For anyone who watched the game, it was like watching a track meet. Explosive play after explosive play after explosive play. It felt as though the last team with the ball would come out on top. That, however, was not the truth. When it mattered, Vic Fangio's Dolphin defense stepped up to sack Justin Herbert on consecutive plays to end the game. Can the defense keep Mac Jones and the Patriots from running the ball down their throats? That will be the question.

New England, despite being 0-1, scored a moral victory against the Eagles. No one seriously expected them to come out on top, but they were a toe-drag away from potentially knocking off the Eagles. That defense is real. Those weapons are real. Can they prove it against a Dolphins team that is eager to show the NFL that they are contenders?

The Bottom Line: This one could be wacky. A couple of turnovers here and a mishap there, and this one could go to the very end. I expect the Patriots to give Tua and the Dolphins offense all that they can handle. Belichick has a tendency to keep these kinds of games close and I expect that this one will be just that. I'm picking against the spread, however. Give me the Patriots!

Prediction: Miami Dolphins: 27 New England Patriots: 28
