The most likely trade-up spots for the Chiefs in the 2024 NFL Draft's first round
By Price Carter
Seattle Seahawks, No. 16, Draft Value Differential: 410 points
By far the most aggressive move up the board could be with the Seahawks at No. 16. Moving halfway up the first round is no easy task but if the Chiefs wanted to be aggressive this could be a path.
The Seahawks have had numerous draft picks over the last few years from the Russel Wilson trade. However, they still have lots of holes on defense and could continue to focus on rebuilding that side of the ball with a number of picks. Maybe they think a project QB (Michael Penix or Bo Nix) could fall down the board some and they get to recoup draft value, too.
This trade also put the Chiefs in front of some key AFC rivals like the Bengals, Jaguars, and the Dolphins. All likely figure into the playoff picture for 2024. All of them also have needs at tackle too. The Chiefs could jump these teams and maybe still be within reach of one of the top tackles
Trade Targets: Troy Fautanu, Amarius Mims, or Brian Thomas Jr.
