Skyy Moore is running out of friends in KC after latest Brett Veach comments

You know what to do, Veach.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 but Skyy Moore has played zero part in that. In fact, during Sunday's narrow win over the Los Angeles Chargers, Moore cost the Chiefs big time when he failed to haul in a catchable pass on third down and KC had to punt the football away.

At this point, we all know what a disappointment Moore has been since the Chiefs drafted him in the second round in the 2022 NFL Draft. He's caught 43 passes for 494 yards and one touchdown during his 2+ years with the team and has zero catches through four games this year.

Well, after that dropped pass by Moore, it appears that even Chiefs general manager Brett Veach has turned on his former draft pick. According to Harold Kuntz of FOX4 KC, Veach was furious when Moore dropped that pass.

"We're in the press box here at SoFi Stadium. When Skyy Moore dropped that pass, we heard a huge THUD on a table behind us. That was general manager Brett Veach, so if that tells you anything about what he thinks about the depth, at least at the time of that play, what he thinks about the depth of the wide receivers, that's probably a good indicator."

Skyy Moore's fate might be sealed after dropped pass

Between Moore underwhelming and now Rashee Rice likely missing a large chunk of time with an unknown injury, the Chiefs once again find themselves needing help at wide receiver. There are going to be all kinds of rumors linking them to guys like Amari Cooper and even old friend Tyreek Hill but now that we know how Veach seems to feel about Moore, will he be aggressive and try to add one of those key playmakers to help the Chiefs three-peat?

The Chiefs drafted Xavier Worthy in the first round and signed Hollywood Brown in the offseason but Brown is also going to miss the season with an injury. That leaves KC with a starting wide receiver trio of Worthy, Justin Watson, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Not the most menacing bunch.

If Veach is as angry as reports insist he was after that dropped pass, maybe—just maybe—he'll be aggressive in bringing someone to Kansas City who can help Patrick Mahomes and the offense out and help get this team its third straight Super Bowl title.
