Raiders vs. Chiefs final score prediction for NFL Week 16 on Christmas Day
The NFL is treating us to three games to watch and bet on Christmas Day with the first of which being an AFC West showdown between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.
This game will be a must-win for both teams in some sense. The Raiders have to win this matchup to stay alive in the playoff race while the Chiefs likely need to win to have any hope of earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
You can check out my best bet for the game in this week's edition of the "Road to 272 Bets."
In this article, I'm going to take things one step further and try to predict the exact final score of the game. Let's take a look at the odds and then dive into it.
Raiders vs. Chiefs odds, spread, and total
Chiefs score prediction
If you read this week's "Road to 272 Bets", then you know I like the Raiders to cover the 10.5-point spread. But, before you Chiefs fans get mad at me, just know that I do think the Chiefs win this game, which is what matters when trying to predict the final score.
The Raiders have turned into a sneakily solid team since firing Josh McDaniels and even in their loss to the Chiefs a few weeks back, they averaged the same amount of yards per play at 6.2. With that being said, the talent of the Chiefs will prove to be too much and Kansas City will evidentially win the game.
When it comes to the total of 40.5 points, I think it's going to go under. The Raiders and the Chiefs have allowed just 4.8 and 4.9 yards per play over their last three games, which both rank in the top half of the NFL over that stretch.
I see points being hard to come by in this game, but the Chiefs will overcome that to win.
Final score prediction: Chiefs 21, Raiders 17
