For all of the signings made by the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason, perhaps none has been more overlooked or underappreciated than offensive tackle Donovan Smith.

Smith came over from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after a few seasons blocking for Tom Brady up front while winning a Super Bowl himself. However, after several seasons of being an ironman performer for the Bucs front line, he fell off last year as he played through injuries in a frustrating season all around.

The Chiefs added Smith following the draft and it hardly made a splash, but there were decent reasons. He was used goods, after all, who was clearly through his best playing days at a position where the Chiefs had already drafted Wanya Morris, had Lucas Niang, and had already signed Jawaan Taylor.

So far in training camp, however, Smith looks like a resurgent veteran playing for a contender after suffering through misery with the Bucs a year ago. And he's got the left tackle role locked down for the Chiefs to start th eyear.

On this episode of the Arrowhead Addict podcast, Adam Best and Sterling Holmes talk about the signing of Smith and what he brings to the line. They also discuss the upside of Felix Anudike-Uzomah, the downside of Willie Gay, and much more!
