We're pretty sure that when Patrick Mahomes decides to take notice of someone, the Kansas City Chiefs are also paying attention. So you can believe that a lot of those who work at Arrowhead Stadium were tipping their cap to the 40-yard dash put on by Xavier Worthy on Saturday.

The 2024 NFL Combine is underway—otherwise known as the underwear olympics—and that means loads of college prospects are showcasing their speed and strength, agility and dexterity in a number of drills intended to draw attention—just like the way that Worthy did with his stellar time in the 40.

A number of wide receivers have already turned heads with their performances in the 40-yard dash at this year's Combine, but Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes only posted about one on Twitter (or X).

First, in case you missed Worthy's actual performance, you can watch it here in which he was timed at 4.25 seconds overall.

Yeah, that's not a record but it's awfully close. It wasn't so long ago that former Chiefs WR John Ross set a record with 4.22 seconds. We all know how that turned out, so there are also plenty of cautionary tales to be told before running away with projections for Worthy. However, it's worth noting all the same.

Back to Mahomes. After watching Worthy's performance, he simply had this to say.

You can imagine after losing Tyreek Hill as a target, this sort of number might feel like a dream addition this offseason.
