While Hurts plays for the team with the best record in the NFL, it may be Jackson who is a bigger threat to Mahomes’ MVP case.
If the Ravens keep playing at a high level and eventually take the top spot in the AFC, Mahomes is going to have a hard time winning the MVP if Kansas City finishes below them in the final standings.
He’ll need to significantly outperform Jackson statistically, and that’s going to be tough given the Baltimore quarterback’s dual-threat ability.
