In Week 11, the AFC-leading Kansas City Chiefs and NFC-leading Philadelphia Eagles clashed for the first time since Super Bowl 57 in Glendale, Arizona, where K.C. claimed a 38-35 victory. The rematch was circled by many when this season's schedule came out and was given several nicknames: the Kelce Reunion, the Super Bowl rematch, the Swift/Kelce meeting of the families.

For Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, he insisted it was "just another game" and nothing else. From the outside looking in, this made sense. His team had lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and a victory on Monday Night Football would not change that.

The primetime contest on Monday lived up to the hype and was a game worth watching. The weather was nasty as rain fell at Arrowhead Stadium with Chiefs Kingdom at full force in the stands, showing why they are the number one venue in the NFL. Both offenses struggled in the rainy conditions as the defenses stepped up to keep things close. Still, at the end of the day, the Eagles were victorious as the Chiefs offense went scoreless for the third straight game.

After the game, Sirianni's mood changed and he showed that it was clearly much more than "the next game". Following the win, Sirianni went over to the Eagles fans to celebrate but he also had a special message for the Chiefs Kingdom Faithful.

Sirianni can be seen yelling at the Chiefs fans yelling, "See Ya!". This is not really the worst thing in the world, but his team did not win the game because they outplayed the Chiefs. They won this game because the Chiefs wide receivers could not catch the ball. It is rare to see a head coach heckle the fan base of the home team, but Sirianni felt some other way about the victory over the Chiefs. I think that it's great he went and celebrated with the Philly faithful who came from Philadelphia to see their team, but there is no need to rub this regular season game in the face of Chiefs Kingdom.

Shortly after leaving the field, and heading into the tunnel, one would think Sirianni would take a second to reflect on the win they were able to capture, but once again the Eagles HC took one more shot at the Kingdom.

Once again, this was another look into how important this game was to Sirianni. The issue is that the win was not pretty, and once again they did not beat the Chiefs with a smothering defense and an efficient offense the NFL is accustomed to seeing from the defending NFC conference Champions. The Chiefs beat themselves, and Eagles players know it.

While discussing the victory over the Chiefs on the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce, All-Pro Center for the Eagles, had this to say about the win over his brother Travis Kelce. “I’m not going to lie, first time beating you guys, I thought it was going to feel better. But knowing how poorly we played offensively, it was really bittersweet. It really did. We didn’t go out there and really take care of business the way we wanted to. It felt weird after the game to be honest.”

At the end of the day, there is a chance these two teams clash again in Super Bowl 58. In the case that game happens, this material will be the first thing the Kansas City Chiefs will be asked about when they meet again. For now, the Eagles can raise the Regular Season Super Bowl Rematch Champions banner, while the Chiefs need to regroup and prepare for a divisional clash against the newly invigorated Las Vegas Raiders.

Since I can't help it. This is a live look into how important this game was for Nick Sirianni to win.
